I'm not sure where the year went, but Hudson's last day of 2nd grade was June 2nd.  He had an amazing year with an amazing teacher.  How is my boy growing up so fast??? Here he is before heading off to school.

He received an award for making A honor roll all year.  We are SO proud of him and how hard he works!!!

We went to Destin the week of June 4th this year and had a blast as always.  Holden absolutely loved the ocean...could.not.get.enough!  Hudson and Daddy went on several fishing trips and Hudson fell in love with it!  I only got a few pictures this year because Holden is always on the go, but here are a few.

Ahh...my happy place!

We went to San Antonio on June 25th for a few days and had an awesome time!  We enjoyed eating at our favorite restaurants, spending one day at Sea World, one day at Acquatica, and going to the Riverwalk!

The only picture I got at Sea World...chasing after Holden is not for the faint of heart!  :)

Ice cream after dinner on the Riverwalk...yummy!

I think I'm still in denial, but Hudson turned NINE on August 13th!!  His birthday fell on a Saturday this year, and he wanted a completely different kind of birthday than in years past.  It could not have been more fun!!  We all had a great day celebrating Hudson in his last year as a single digit!
Here's the birthday boy before heading out to pick up his friends.

He is VERY into music these days, so he got an iPod Nano...he was beyond excited!
After breakfast and opening gifts, we picked up 7 of his friends and headed to Main Event for a few games and laser tag!

 The whole gang!

After Main Event, we went to Studio Movie grill to see Pete's Dragon and have lunch.
After the movie, we went to Braum's for ice cream before taking all of the boys home.  They all had a blast and Kelly and I were beat!  Ha! That night, he requested his favorite meal...steak, baked potatoes, Caesar salad, and rolls.
Holden had already eaten dinner by the time we finally got everything ready, but he was happy to have a few bites of steak before bed!
Instead of a cake, Hudson asked Noni to make him her famous cherry pie for dessert.  Yummy!

We had an awesome day celebrating our 9 year old!!!  Love him more than he'll ever know!!

Hudson's first day of 3rd grade was on Monday, August 22nd.  He was so excited because he got the teacher he has wanted for 2 years now, Mr. Boatman.  He has Mr. Boatman for math and science and goes to Ms. Turner for language arts and social studies.  He has several good friends in his class and had an all around great first day!!  He's ready to rock 3rd grade, but Mommy would be ok if we found a way to pause time!!

Paw-Paw and Nana came to visit the weekend of October 21st.  While Hudson was at school, Nana and I took Holden to Blase Family Farm.  It was darling and Holden loved it!! First up, feeding the goats and sheep!

Then, we fed a longhorn!! Holden wasn't too sure of that.
We tried and tried to get a cute picture of him smiling while sitting in front of this sign, but he was not having it!!  Stinker!
He and Nana waiting for the tractor ride.
Before leaving, we got to pick out some pumpkins to take home.  Holden had more fun moving the pumpkins around!  :)

Happy boy before heading to take lunch to big brother at school!  :)

Friday, October 28th was a busy day!  I packed Holden up and we headed downtown to Noni's office for some trick-or-treating.  He easily put on his golfer costume, grabbed his bucket, and quickly figured out that people were going to fill it with candy!  He loved it!  He also may or may not have been the cutest little boy there!!  :)
Pausing for a second before we were flying down the hall again!!
Sadly, we only got these two pictures.  Holden was hard to keep up with!  :)

After Noni's office Halloween party, we raced to Hudson's school for his class party.  They were eating a fun snack when we got there.  Hudson is in the center of the room.

Hudson's class with his teacher, Mr. Boatman.  They could wear their costumes to school, but costumes couldn't be scary. So, Hudson chose to just wear his regular soccer uniform.

They played a ring toss game where the girls beat the boys!
I don't have any pictures, but after the party, we ran home for Holden to take a nap, only to return to the school for the Fall Carnival that night.  It was a BUSY, FUN day!!

For Halloween this year, we had a golfer, and a zombie soccer player.  Here are my cuties before heading out to trick-or treat!
We told Hudson to make a scary face and Holden had to make one too!  Ha!
We met up with a few of our neighborhood friends!  SO fun to live in such a fun neighborhood!

Holden and his future friend Colton.  :)
When we got home, we went across the street to see Brynlee on her first Halloween.  She was getting ready for bed, so we didn't get to see her in costume, but Holden made sure to give her a goodnight kiss!!
Our boys had such a fun night!!

The weekend of November 11th, Hudson's team, the Monsters played in the Wylie Cup soccer tournament.  They didn't win the tournament, but played their hearts out in 3 games.  Hudson seemed sad when it was over and as I started a pep talk about how well they played, he said he wasn't sad about not winning, but about soccer being over.  Sweet boy!  Winter basketball starts soon and spring soccer will be here before he knows it!
Here he is with his team being crazy!

 My #6 in action!

Will, Alex, Jordan, Hudson, Caleb, Addison, Cooper, Eric, and Zachary with Daddy, or Coach Kelly!

Hudson was chosen to play John Adams in the Veteran's Day performance at his school on November 15th.  He did SUCH a good job!!!  Here he is before heading up to the school.

Posing with some of his friends afterward:  Hudson, Peyton, Everett, Cooper, and Christian

One of the neatest parts in the play was that the kids were asked to invite any veterans in their family to attend, or bring pictures of those that served.  The names of each family member were read and the kids either held up their picture or their family member joined them on stage.  It was such a neat program!!
Hudson with Robert Bingham. (Great-great-grandfather)
 Hudson with Dale Long. (Great-great-grandfather)
 Hudson with Wayne Burling. (Great-great-uncle)
Hudson with his music teacher, Mrs. Soudress.

Hudson with his awesome 3rd grade teachers Ms. Turner and Mr. Boatman.
We were super proud of our boy!!  He shines on stage!!

I'm in total denial that the year is halfway over!!! :(

After a beautiful church service and a fun night celebrating with Kelly's family, we quickly had the boys open their Christmas pajamas from us before getting in bed on Christmas Eve.  This was the best attempt at a picture of the boys!

Hudson was really excited to open his UT jammies!
Holden was running around like a maniac, so Hudson opened his Mickey Mouse jammies for him.

The boys went to bed and this is what they woke up to Christmas morning!!

We had another fabulous Christmas day this year!  We spent the entire day in our jammies, without an agenda, just being together!!  The boys slept in a little, but were ready to open gifts when they woke up.  Well, Hudson was ready!  I think Holden only actually opened one gift.  Hudson opened all of them for him and he just ran around and played with them!  It was such a fun day!!

Hudson is always so excited to give us the presents he picked out at the Holiday Store at his school.  It is SO sweet!  This year he gave Kelly and deer ornament and coffee mug.

He gave Noni a blanket because she's always cold!
He gave me a Merry Christmas ornament for the tree!  You can tell by the gifts how much thought he puts into each one!
Here's a glimpse of the crazy little man running around!

Hudson's facial expressions while opening gifts is awesome!!  :)

Hudson was most excited about his Bloxels!

Holden loved getting his very own blower and trash truck!
Noni's favorite gift was the canvas and her and the boys.

Despite my best efforts, I have raised a UT loving boy!!  He loved all of his UT gear!
He had fun creating his very own video game!

We FINALLY were able to celebrate Christmas in Oklahoma on January 14th!!  We had the best time and we had more fun wearing matching pajamas...in January!  :)  It was near impossible to get a good picture of the oldest cousins...

Hudson was a huge fan of his spooner!
Hudson also got to go on a scavenger hunt for one of his gifts.
He was beyond excited to pull out a hard case for his guitar!!  It has been on his wish list for about 6 months!  :)

Hudson turned 9 1/2 on February 13th!!  Half way to double digits.  I. Just. Can't.  Where in the world has the time gone?!? He is growing up before my eyes and as much as I want time to slow down, I love watching who he is turning in to.  He makes me proud every day!! He had practice that night, so we headed to one of his favorite spots for a quick dinner.
Once he got home and showered, it was time to open up a little gift to celebrate.

He was really excited to get a Garmin Vivofit!  How I love this boy!!

Holden's Party!

Holden's 3rd birthday party was March 11th at Urban Air. We had a Curious George themed party and had a blast!

The day before the party, Holden landed funny on his foot after jumping off a bounce house and ended up in the ER.  He literally wouldn't put any weight on his foot for two days.  :(  They didn't find a fracture, but we are being sent to a pediatric orthopedic doctor this week because he still isn't walking correctly.  Our tough boy didn't let his inability to walk get in his way with the help of an awesome Daddy.  Kelly climbed around with him and jumped with him the entire party.  Poor guy was beat!!
 A few of Holden's friends...Hayes.
 Carter and Colton.
Colton's sweet mama, Ginny going down the slide with Holden.
 Daddy jumping with Holden.  :)

The big kids played several rounds of Dodge Ball...Uncle Todd, Uncle Geoff, and Hudson.
Griffin, Stone, Rowan, and Aunt Tara.
After jumping, we headed to the party room for pizza and cupcakes.

Brynlee and Logan enjoying the party.

The cupcakes were a hit and made a huge mess!!

Cousin Luke thoroughly enjoyed his!  :)

Hodlen opened one gift before we all headed home for a nap!
It was such a fun party and we were so thankful to have so many family members and friends help celebrate our little guy!

Holden had a fabulous day on his 3rd birthday!  We started the day by singing to him and he tried to put up 3 fingers!
Later that morning we headed to Build-A-Bear with cousin Luke and Logan in tow.  It was the first time the boys had been and they loved it!
Sweet boy stuffing, cuddling, and kissing the heart of his new puppy.

Then it was time to wash and dry his new friend.

How sweet is this picture of Luke loving on his new puppy?!?

The boys ready to take their new dogs home!
After Build-A-Bear, they got to take a train ride around Firewheel...one of Holden's favorite things!

Then we had lunch at Panera and the boys got to sit next to Nana with their puppies!
When we got home, Aunt Fern wanted to take a picture with the little boys.  Hudson was still at school.
After dinner with Noni that night, Holden got to have a fun dessert and more birthday candles.

 BIG boy!!
All three of my boys dug right in!!
Holden tried to scold Hudson for eating his dessert!!  Look at that face!!

We had such a great day celebrating our little guy!!  I can't believe he's already 3!!
